Bhubaneswar’s Art Gallery Showcases Paintings Of 200 Artists On PM Narendra Modi In New Delhi

Bhubaneswar: The paintings of 200 artists from across India on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political journey for 20 years were exhibited at “MODI@20 National Painting Exhibition” in Lalitkala Art Gallery, New Delhi from December 1 to 3.

Oraganised by Bhubaneswar-based Suvadra Art Gallery, the exhibition was inaugurated by Union Culture Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal in presence of eminent artist Jatin Das and joint secretary, Culture Uma Nanduri.

The Minister expressed his happiness over the constructive and develop oriented paintings made by the artists and urged the audience and media to spread the message of Modi all over the country.

The closing ceremony was held in presence of Raj Kumar Chopra, national president of Servants of People Society, former Minister and MP Prasanna Patasani; Sudarsanji, Engineer-in-Chief, NDMC; Ananta Swarup, additional secretary, Commerce & Industry; Chitta Ranjan Tripathy, Director, National School of Drama; Prof Ranjan Malik, Dean, Chitkara University.

Surya Rath, president of Suvadra Art Gallery, expressed satisfaction over positive response from artists and art lovers at the exhibition and assured that similar exhibitions will be held in major Indian cities and abroad to spread Modi’s message. Suvadra Art Gallery has selected Abhijit Gotani as its brand ambassador for coming year, he added.

Art works of Jay Salin (Mumbai), Raj Saini (Bhopal), Ajit Samal (Baroda), Harekrusna Pal (Tripura), Jaydeb Biswal (Baroda), Kriti Trivedi (Bhopal), Madhu Dhir (Delhi), Satrughna Thakur (Baroda), Subhas Pujari (Bhubaneswar), Tinku Deb (Assam), Manoj Mohanty (Delhi) and Prabodh Sahu (Odisha) were highly appreciated. The artwork of 19-year-old deaf and dumb artist Abhijit Gatani from Silchar, Assam was highly appreciated by the visitors in the exhibition, whose art work has been appreciated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The exhibition was curated by gallery director Ashok Nayak while Sankar Parida, chairman of organising committee and adviser Jagannath Kunjabihari managed the show.
