Bhubaneswar: The vendors at Khao Gali, the street food court near Ram Mandir at Unit 3 in Odisha capital, have been allowed to open shops from 5 pm and 10 pm.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has set 22 conditions for the vendor to operate from the place, which include a security deposit of Rs 25,000 and a monthly rent of Rs 6,000, sources said.
The popular street food court, which was declared ‘Clean Street Food Hub’ by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) later year, was shut down on May 11 over lack of adequate cleanliness and violation of other civic norms following a surprise visit my City Mayor Sulochana Das. It was found that they had rented out their commercial space to other vendors and were not maintaining proper hygiene and cleanliness.
