Mumbai: Bhushan Kumar’s T-series office building in Andheri has been sealed after one of the caretakers tested positive for Covid-19.
The building was sealed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
Bhushan Kumar, owner of the music company and also a film producer, said on Monday necessary steps are being taken as per government guidelines to sanitise the building.
“While the person who has tested positive is receiving proper care, we have taken the government recommended medical steps to make sure that the office building is completely sanitized.”
The T-Series office is closed since March 15 because of the lockdown. The only ones who have been staying there for the past two months are some caretakers who look after the maintenance of the building.
“Some of them are migrants who couldn’t go back. There are rooms, kitchen and all facilities for them in the office building. One of them tested positive for Covid-19,” a T-Series spokesperson told PTI,
He added that the others who were staying there with the infected person are also being tested for the virus. Their reports are awaited.
