Mumbai: ‘Project K’ just got bigger with veteran actor Kamal Haasan joining the cast.
Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, the multilingual science fiction action movie, is scheduled o be released in January 2024.
Headlined by Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, ‘Project K’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan. Kamal’s inclusion adds to the appeal and interest.

Amitabh welcomed Kamal on board.
“Welcome Kamal.. great working with you again.. it’s been a while!” he tweeted.
This is the fourth film that Amitabh and Kamal will be doing together, and the first one in 23 years.
Their previous films were ‘Khabardar’ in 1984, ‘Geraftaar’ in 1985 and ‘Hey Ram’ in 2000.
Kamal responded to Amitabh by tweeting: “Thank you for the love Amit Ji @SrBachchan. Looking forward to collaborating with #Prabhas @AshwiniDuttCh @nagashwin7 @deepikapadukone @DishPatani @Music_Santhosh @VyjayanthiFilms #ProjectK.”
Kamal also posted a long note stating how eagerly he was waiting for the project.
The announcement video showed several clips from Kamal’s critically-acclaimed movies and introduced him as Ulaga Nayagan (universal hero), the antagonist in the film.
