Mumbai: The ‘Bigg Boss 18’ grand finale was to witness two big stars of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan, entertaining the audience with their witty banter.
However, the expected segment of the reality show couldn’t be shot owing to the different work ethics of the two actors.
While Akshay Kumar, who is an early riser, likes to start his work early and wind up early, Salman Khan on the other hand prefers to start working later in the day.
As per reports, Akshay Kumar reached the sets of ‘Bigg Boss 18’ at around 2.15 pm, along with Veer Pahariya to promote their upcoming film ‘Sky Force.’ But, Salman as usual, didn’t turn up on time.
Akshay waited for an hour on the sets of Bigg Boss and then left the sets without shooting for the episode. Thus, the expected reunion of the two superstars never happened.
“Being as punctual as he is, Akshay turned up on the set for his shoot at the scheduled time, around 2.15 pm. But Salman hadn’t come by then. Akshay waited for an hour for Salman to come, but he had a trial screening of Jolly LLB 3 in his schedule. Thus, after waiting for an hour, Akshay returned without even shooting for the show,” Hindustan Times reported, quoting a source.
The source further revealed that when Salman reached the sets, several calls were made to Akshay, but the latter didn’t return, citing other work commitments.
“Akshay and Salman eventually spoke and Akshay told him that he had to leave for a prior commitment. Salman also said that he hopes to have him on the show some other time,” added the source.
The grand finale of ‘Bigg Boss 18’ will be aired tonight. The participants competing for the Bigg Boss trophy include Eisha Singh, Avinash Mishra, Karanveer Mehra, Vivian Dsena, Rajat Dalal and Chum Darang.
