Mumbai: Drama in the ‘Bigg Boss 19’ house increased manifold after the entry of wild card contestant Malti Chahar.
In the latest promo of the reality show, Malti is seen slamming influencer Tanya Mittal for her ‘Sati Savitri’ image in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, and calling her ‘meme material’.
Taking a dig at Tanya, Malti said that her ‘sati savitri’ image inside the house does not match with her real-life image as videos of her wearing miniskirts are doing the rounds on social media.
During a conversation with Ashnoor Kaur and Abhishek Bajaj, Malti described Tanya’s dressing style, which she had seen in one of the reels, as quite different from what she pretends to be in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house.
She then asks Abhishek what other housemates think about Tanya.
Abhishek replies, “Wo saree pehenti hai. She is very sanskaari. (She wears sarees. She’s very cultured).”
Malti reacts, “The way she portrays herself is entirely different. Mini skirts mein bhi videos hain iske. (There are videos of her in miniskirts).”
On hearing this, Abhishek and Ashnoor look shocked.
Describing Tanya’s outfit in one of the reels, Malti said, “Samajh aa raha hai? Ki wo meme material kyu hai? Kyunki wo kehti kuch aur hai, hai kuch aur. (Do you get it now? Why she is meme material? Because she says one thing, but is something else entirely). So, she is a player.”
However, Malti’s remarks about Tanya’s clothes didn’t go down well with netizens.
One user commented, “Malti knows only this way to play the game or what? Shaming women on their clothes all the time?”
Another person wrote, “Why is no one asking why malti is obsessed with Tanya clothing I don’t like Tanya but her over which Malti anytime.”
“Ye amaal se rejection seh nahi payi hai…group people choose tanya over her..isiliye ab zeher ugal rahi hai and clearly she targeting tanya,” read one comment.
Another netizen wrote, “Shame on you Malti. This is wrong on so many levels. How can someone be so low to link a person’ character to their clothes.”
