Mumbai: Bipasha Basu has raised concerns after allegedly finding worms in a nutrition product.
The actress took to social media on Thursday to flag the issue and tagged Maharashtra FDA chief Tukaram Mundhe, seeking his attention over the alleged contamination.
In the video, Bipasha gave viewers a close-up look at the contents of the container and claimed that the material inside appeared to be worms.
“This Isopure is full of worms… tiny tiny worms. The new dabba that we’ve opened is full of worms,” Bipasha is heard saying in the video.
Sharing the clip, Bipasha tagged Mundhe and wrote, “@tukaram_ias You are our only hope… so we don’t get spoilt or adulterated stuff in everything that we purchase,” along with a folded-hands emoji.
While Bipasha’s post alleges an issue with the product, there is currently no independent confirmation that the substance shown was worms or that the Isopure product was contaminated.

Isopure is a nutrition brand specialising in whey protein isolate and other dietary supplements, with several products marketed as low-carb or zero-carb options.
Tukaram Mundhe is an IAS officer and Commissioner of Maharashtra’s Food and Drug Administration. He has gained attention for his focus on food-safety enforcement across the state.
The FDA has been conducting inspections at restaurants, food establishments and quick-commerce warehouses, while taking action over alleged hygiene and food-safety violations.
On the work front, Bipasha has no announced projects currently. She was last seen in the 2020 web series ‘Dangerous’.
