Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Tuesday announced new appointments to strengthen the youth and student wings of the regional party.
Ipsita Sahu has been appointed as the president of Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD), the party’s student wing, with immediate effect.
BJD sources said the new BCJD team includes Debesh Acharya as senior general secretary (Students Affairs), and Debi Ranjan Tripathy, Subhasis Khuntia, and Souvic Biswal as general secretaries (Students Affairs).
Similarly, Chinmaya Sahu has been appointed as the president of Biju Yuba Janata Dal (BYJD), the party’s youth wing.
The BYJD team includes Byomakesh Ray as senior general secretary (Youth Affairs), and Rajendra Kumar Sahoo, Amaresh Patri, and Sanjit Mohanty as general scretaries (Youth Affairs).
Both Ipsita and Chinmaya met BJD president Naveen Patnaik and sought his blessings after being appointed to the new posts.
