BJD Leader Pradeep Majhi Targets Odisha Minister, Others For Laughing At Little Girl Highlighting Area Problems

Bhubaneswar: The problems being faced by the residents of Dasamantpur area in Odisha’s tribal-dominated Koraput district were highlighted by a little girl in a unique way through acting during Independence Day celebrations on August 15. Her skillful presentation has gone viral on social media.

However, the way the guests on the dais laughed at the girl’s presentation has drawn sharp reaction from BJD leader and special development council (SDC) advisor Pradeep Majhi. Agriculture Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain was among those present at the event.

Majhi has questioned the behaviour of the dignitaries when the small girl was apprising them about the problems of the area through her acting. Taking to social media, the tribal leader said the guests were laughing at the girl instead of trying to understand what she was conveying.

The dignitaries should have realised that the little girl was not taking part in any fancy dress competition but was trying to tell them about the problems of the area including lack of good roads and urging them to take steps to solve these issues, said Majhi.
