Berhampur: The BJD leaders and workers in Gopalpur Assembly constituency have re-imposed faith in the leadership of party president Naveen Patnaik and vowed to dedicate themselves for the development of Gopalpur.
Speaking at an organisational meeting in Gopalpur, the ruling party’s Ganjam unit president Dr Ramesh Chandra Chau Patnaik said they welcomed the decision of expelling MLA Pradeep Panigrahi from the primary membership of the party. He reiterated their confidence in the party president and wanted to continue working for the people’s development under his leadership.
It is for the first time after Panigrahi was ousted from the BJD that the district unit has come out in support of the disciplinary action against Panigrahi.
It may be noted that Panigrahi was expelled from BJD for his ‘anti-people’ activities on November 29.
