Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will deploy 60 Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers for smooth conduct of the grand state-level function, marking the first anniversary of the BJP dispensation in the state, at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.
The event, which was initially scheduled for June 12 when Mohan Mjahi was sworn in as the 15th Chief Minister of Odisha, had to be reworked following confirmation from the PMO about availability of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 20.
“We had requested the prime minister to visit Odisha on June 12. He, however, gave time for June 20, so the change in schedule,” Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari had earlier told the media.
The event is being planned at the same scale as the launch of Subhadra Yojana on September 17 last year, according to sources.
During a recent trip to New Delhi, CM had personally invited PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, BJP National President JP Nadda, and other Union ministers and senior party leaders to the anniversary celebrations.
