hhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Sunday claimed that the BJP now believed it had become bigger than the RSS, despite having come to power with the support of the organisation.

Dipke, who spearheaded a protest at Jantar Mantar over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination, said the BJP should pay attention to the views expressed by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

He was responding to a question about Bhagwat’s recent remarks in New York, where the RSS chief said that a Hindu who believed there should be no Muslims in Bharat would cease to remain a Hindu, as reported by Hindustan Times.

“I have been saying this from the beginning that the BJP should listen to Mohan Bhagwat. After being in power for 12 years and having so many agencies in its hands, the BJP is thinking that it has grown bigger than the RSS,” Dipke was quoted by news agency PTI as saying.

Dipke also referred to Bhagwat’s earlier statement that members of the protesting Gen Z generation should not be branded anti-national.

However, he alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had used the term “Dimagi Naxal” for the protesters, indicating that the BJP was not following the RSS chief’s advice.

“But the PM (Narendra Modi) came up with a new word, ‘Dimagi Naxal’. It clearly shows that the PM is not listening to Mohan Bhagwat,” Dipke added.

The former political communication strategist said Bhagwat had spoken about inclusivity and had cautioned against disrespecting children, while the Prime Minister had used expressions of a different nature.

The Boston University graduate said the contrast between the statements of the RSS chief and the Prime Minister was inappropriate.

“The RSS chief talks about inclusivity and not disrespecting children, while the PM uses such words. This doesn’t look good,” he said.

Dipke said the BJP should remember the role played by the RSS in helping it attain power.

“They should at least listen to Mohan Bhagwat, who is their mentor… they (BJP) are in power because of the RSS,” Dipke added.

Dipke Rejects Wangchuk Criticism

Asked about activist Sonam Wangchuk’s remark in an interview with a YouTube channel that, in his assessment, CJP leaders had political ambitions and were “not saints”, Dipke said Wangchuk’s comments had been misrepresented.

According to Dipke, Wangchuk had initially been asked whether CJP leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka had political ambitions. He said Wangchuk had praised the two as capable and honest leaders who had conducted their agitation sincerely.

“He was asked whether Sourav (Das) and Ashutosh (Ranka) have any ambitions. Wangchuk said that we are talented and good leaders and have not been corrupt till now. We have run the agitation honestly. He has spoken good things about us,” Dipke said.

Dipke said Wangchuk had subsequently been asked whether the leaders could develop political ambitions in the future. In response, Wangchuk had said that nobody could predict how a person might act later, he added.

Dipke said he himself had repeatedly advised people against placing unquestioning trust in any individual.

“Even I cannot tell. I tell people repeatedly not to have blind faith in anyone because we do not know, there is no guarantee what any person will do in future,” he said.
