Bhubaneswar: BJP National President Amit Shah arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport here on Sunday. He is on a day visit to the state.
Shah then went to the party’s state headquarters office, which was chock-a-block with supporters.
Talking about the schedule, BJP state vice-president Samir Mohanty said Shah will review the organisational activities of the party. With the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections a few months away, he will formulate poll strategies with the senior state leaders and assign them specific responsibility.

“During his discussion with the senior party leaders and office-bearers, Shah will review whether the beneficiaries are able to avail the benefit of Central assistance. He will apprise the Centre of the Central schemes which is yet to reach the grassroots level in the state,” Mohanty added.
Later in the day, Shah will preside over five organisational meetings.
In the afternoon, he will have a meeting with two leaders of all panchayats of 21 Assembly constituencies of Bhubaneswar, Puri and Cuttack Lok Sabha constituencies.
After a night halt in the state capital, he will leave for New Delhi the following morning.
