New Delhi: BMW Motorrad has launched the new 2020 versions of its entry-level motorcycles – G 310 R and G 310 GS with a significant price cut.
The ex-showroom prices of the 2020 series are as follows:
G 310 GS – Rs 2.85 lakh
G 310 R – Rs 2.45 lakh
Earlier, the G 310 R and G 310 GS have priced at Rs 2.99 lakh and Rs 3.49 lakh respectively.
Both motorcycles are powered by the same 313 cc engine that has been upgraded to BS-VI norms. The liquid-cooled engine produces the same 34 PS power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm. Suspension and brakes remain the same.
There is a new ride-by-wire throttle and the transmission gets slip-and-assist clutch. All lights are now full-LED lights with integrated DRL as well.
Colour-wise, there’s a new ‘Style Rallye’ shade which has a black base color with red and blue contrasts. There is also a special ’40 years GS’ paint scheme that commemorates four decades of the BMW GS and is based on the BMW R 100 GS. This special shade comes only with the G 310 GS.
BMW says it has worked on the vibrations that were prominent on the BS4 variant.
The new prices make the BMW twins priced similar or lower to the KTM Duke 390 series.
There’s no color TFT display like the TVS Apache RR 310 with which it shares the platform and engine.
BMW is also offering attractive financing schemes with EMIs starting at Rs 4,500 and Rs 5,500 per month for the R and GS respectively. The motorcycles come with 3 years unlimited km warranty. An extended warranty for two years costs Rs 16,250, and the first 500 customers can avail this at a special price of Rs 5,499.
