Bhubaneswar: Bollywood actor Govinda has arrived at Bhubaneswar on Tuesday evening. The actor will perform at Jharpada Melan Padia puja mandap around 8pm. He will perform along with Indian Idol fame Jyotirmayee Nayak.
“The actor will entertain the audience today (Tuesday) with dance and comic performance. We have been hosting cultural programme at our Durga Puja mandap from Oct 16,” said Bhagirathi Patajoshi, a member of the puja committee.
This year, the pandal at Jharpada Melan Padia has been styled as a mythical temple. According to the local folklore, Lord Shiva had built this temple for Goddess Parvati. The 110ft high pandal has built across 7.5 acres. It houses a 22-ft high idol of Goddess Durga.
