Mumbai: Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar on Friday submitted his reply to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) over the alleged drug party video of 2019.
According to a report in The Times of India, Karan submitted all relevant documents related to the viral party video after being summoned by the NCB in the Bollywood drug-nexus case.
The NCB team is examining the documents received from the filmmaker.
“The notice has been given w.r.t the video which was under circulation. NCB had received a complaint from Manjinder Sirsa in this regard and was marked to Maharashtra Zonal Unit. To check the veracity of the video, the notice has been sent,” NCB official KPS Malhotra was quoted as saying by PTI.
Post Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, Shiromani Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa had filed a complaint with the NCB alleging that drugs were offered at Karan’s residence during the party.
The party was attended by several Bollywood A-listers including Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, and Malaika Arora.
