He arrived at the airport at around 5 pm on a charted flight. He was escorted out of the airport amid tight security as hundreds of fans went to welcome him.

According to sources, he will take rest in his vanity van and go to the stadium to perform later in the evening. The superstar will leave immediately after his performance and will not be staying in any hotel in the State. He will fly back to Mumbai in his charted flight later in the night.

After reported threats from Kalinga Sena, security was beefed up for SRK. However, on Monday, the outfit withdrew its threat of throwing ink at Shah Rukh on the appeal of Hockey India President Mohammed Mushtaque Ahmad.

The stage is set for today’s grand evening where Madhuri Dixit and music director A R Rahman will also perform.

The matches for the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2018 will begin tomorrow at the newly-constructed field at Kalinga Stadium.
