Email threat at Udyog Bhawan
Earlier in the day, Udyog Bhawan in Delhi also received an email threatening to blow up the premises.
The email, addressed to the Secretary of Ministry of Heavy Industries, claimed that suicide IEDs will be employed to destroy the premises.
An immediate alert was issued and the building was evacuated.
The threats come a day before mock drills which security agencies are scheduled to conduct on Saturday evening across districts bordering Pakistan.
The civic drill exercise, which was initially planned on May 29, will take place in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Jammu & Kashmir. The aim is to enhance preparedness and ensure awareness in regions vulnerable to cross-border threats.
