Mumbai: Ahead of the release of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, Aamir Khan became a target of trolls for his production house’s late post on Operation Sindoor carried out by India’s Armed forces.
The actor himself is no longer on social media, but his production house Aamir Khan Productions (AKP) shares posts on his behalf on social media platforms.
A week after India conducted Operation Sindoor to destroy several terror hubs in Pakistan and PoK, Aamir’s production house shared a congratulatory message for the Indian Army.
What irked netizens was that the belated congratulatory message was posted on the day of trailer launch of Aamir’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’.
Many believed that the belated congratulatory message was a promotional stint for the actor’s upcoming movie.
On Thursday morning, the trolls started trending #BoycottAamirKhan just ahead of the release of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ on June 20.
One tweet read, “This (snake emoji) broke his ‘maun vrat’ to promote his move #SitareZameenPar.”
This 🐍 broke his मोंन व्रत to promote his move #SitareZameenPar.
Hindus and Indians you know what to do.

Sharing a screenshot of AKP’s note, another user wrote, “Because his movie’s trailer was going to release today, this is what the b**** did yesterday. Until then he was quiet!”
Urging audiences to ‘teach him a lesson’, one hater wrote, “He hates India. He felt unsafe in India. No one post after 26 Hindus massacred. Not one post Supporting Indian Army in War. #BoycottAamirKhan.”
Sharing the poster of Sitaare Zameen Par, another added, “#NeverForget Time has come to teach some a lesson! #BoycottTurkey #BoycottAamirKhan.”
