Puri: The managing committee of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Thursday asked former SJTA chief Suresh Mohapatra to submit a report on Brahma Paribartan fiasco in three weeks.
The meeting was chaired by Puri Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingh Deb.
“The Brahma Paribartan issue came up for discussion at today’s meeting and the former SJTA chief was asked submit a report on the alleged mismanagement,” said SJTA chief Pradeep Jena.
The committee also decided to grant Rs 5 lakh for construction of a temple at the place from where the daaru (the log out of which the idol of Sudarshan has been carved out) was collected. Besides, 15 decimal of land would be provided at Deland for construction of a school, sources said.
Puri SP Sarthak Sarangi, temple servitors and other committee members were present.
