New Delhi: An event management company in the USA has filed a case against Kapil Sharma for breach of contract during the tour of North America in 2015.
According to a lawsuit filed by SAI USA Inc, the comedian was paid for six shows but performed only five. Despite the comedian promising to compensate for the loss, he hasn’t performed the remaining show in seven years or returned the money.
The issue has come up at a time when Kapil is on a fresh tour of North America with his team of The Kapil Sharma Show for Kapil Sharma Live performances. Kapil, along with Sumona Chakravarti, Rajiv Thakur, Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar and Krushna Abhishek, has performed in Vancouver and Toronto so far.
Amit Jaitly-helmed SAI USA Inc, based out of New Jersey, took to Facebook to share a report on the case.
“He did not perform and has not responded although we tried several times to get in touch with him before the court,” Jaitly was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
The case is pending in a New York court.
