BSF Organises Medical Camp For Tribals In Odisha’s Malkangiri
Malkangiri: Continuing its community service activities, the Border Security Force on Sunday organised a medical camp where villagers were provided healthcare facilities and medicines.
The camp was organised during the visit of BSF Odisha IG, Frontier, Satish Chandra Budakoti who assessed the security framework and working style of the force in the area. The IG, Frontier was briefed about measures taken to build confidence in the minds of local people after establishment of COBs at Andrahal and Mudulipada.
He was accompanied by DIG, Koraput BSF, Madan Lal and Commandant, 65 Battalion of BSF, T Narasimha Reddy. They visited the camp at Andrahal (Bonda Ghati) under Khairput block in the district.
Budakoti also interacted with the commanders and troops and appreciated their professionalism, devotion to duty and complimented their proactive approach in undertaking humanitarian assistance to the locals.
The IG distributed clothes, stationery, utility and sports items among 200 villagers and students of Andrahal. He informed the villagers about Government schemes for tribals especially women, students and highlighted the State Government’s rehabilitation schemes for Maoists who give up arms.
The IG stated “We are working here for normalcy and maintaining thepace of development.” He emphasized on the usefulness of education in nation building.
Among Others, Sarpanch of Andrahal, all ward members of the area, students of Bodbel School and faculty joined the event and lauded the humane approach of BSF.
