Bhubaneswar: The budget session of Odisha Assembly, beginning on February 18, will have question hour.
Informing this to media, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro said although there is a marked improvement in the COVID-19 situation in Odisha, there will be restrictions for the legislators inside the Assembly premises with some relaxation in COVID-19 guidelines.
“As decided, COVID-19 test will not be mandatory for MLAs prior to their entry into the Assembly premises. However, if any member has any symptom, he/she will have to undergo the antigen test,” Patro said.
He further said if any MLA and minister is not willing to physically attend the session, they can participate in the discussion through video conferencing from their office.
As per the notification by the Assembly Secretariat, the budget session will have 31 workdays.
The annual budget of the state for the year 2021-22 will be presented by the Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari on February 22.
