Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) via its SETU service arranged for the transportation of camel milk from Rajasthan to Bhubaneswar for a child suffering from autism and food allergy.
SETU is a voluntary non-profit service by IRTS officers for the movement of critical goods during lockdown. It organized the whole process by parcel express via Delhi and Howrah.
The package cost just Rs 125 and weighed about 20 kg.
SETU has a unified helpline number along with a Twitter handle to facilitate the movement of such critical goods. It has collaborated with NDRF, District Administration, Institutional Bodies and even Startups to ensure last-mile connectivity.
SETU has received over 1400 calls and requests on Twitter, and has transported critical medical equipment such as masks/PPEs, ventilators, raw material and finished goods, farm produce, fertilizers and other essentials.
