The government is also inviting renowned private and charitable organisations engaged in this field to set up facilities in the state. Recently, foundation stone was laid for the state-of-the-art Cancer Care and Palliative Care Centre in Bhubaneswar with philanthropic support and partnerships, he added.

Health Minister Naba Das, Cuttack-Choudwar MLA Souvik Biswal were present on the hospital premises.

Additional Chief Secretary, Health, PK Mohapatra who joined on the virtual platform spoke on different steps taken by the government for treatment of cancer patients. Director of AHPGIC offered the vote of thanks.
