Parlakhemundi: A joint team of excise and police officials on Friday
destroyed cannabis plants that were being illegally cultivated on 60
acres of land at Kumangapadar village under Mohana tehsil in
Gajapati district.
The estimated cost of the destroyed ganja plants is around 12 crore. A
raid was carried out in the locality basing on information from
regarding the illegal ganja cultivation, excise sources said.
Earlier on December 3 last year, ganja plants worth Rs 11 crore was
destroyed in Muthaguda and Ludiguda villages of the district by police
and excise personnel.
