Koraput: Police on Friday seized cash worth over Rs one lakh from the vehicle of the Koraput Congress MLA candidate.
According to reports, while frisking vehicles on the outskirts of Koraput town, the police detained a vehicle of Krushna Kuldeep, the Congress candidate of Koraput Assembly seat and seized a bag with cash worth Rs 1,09,500.

Investigation is on to ascertain the source of the money.
With the model code of conduct enforced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, instructions have been given to the police to keep a tab on the financial transaction of the candidates.
