New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been forced to delay the polygraph test on the man accused of raping and murdering a 31-year-old doctor inside a Kolkata hospital. The reason? No lawyer is ready to represent Sanjoy Roy, a 33-year-old civic volunteer who had easy access to the interiors of the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, where the body of a trainee doctor was found on August 9, according to CBI sources.
Notably, a district court in Sealdah gave initial permission for Ray’s polygraph test earlier this week, with the probe agency looking to verify his statements, a key component in its investigation that has caught national attention, News18 reported.
