Bhubaneswar: Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas run by Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) recorded 98.12 per cent results in the Class 10 Board exams.
Amrit Raj Biswal of Salapada Adarsha Vidyalaya at Anandpur in Keonjhar district scored the highest 99.40 marks in the state making it to the Top-10 of the toppers list.
Three students, including a girl, of Balangir’s Phatachepa school made it to the Top-10. They occupied the second, third and seventh positions. Similarly, three Adarsha Vidyalayas in Ganjam district to made to the Top-10. Two schools from Deogarh and one from Bargarh too ranked among the top in the state.
A total of 9,378 out of 9,558 students who appeared the exams under CBSE board have cleared the exam. While 89 students have scored above 95% marks, 586 achieved more than 90%, a release by OAVS stated.
School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash has congratulated OAVS, schools, teachers, students and their parents for the record performance of Adarsha Vidyalayas.
KiiT International School
All students of KiiT International School, who appeared at the CBSE Class X examination, came out with flying colours. All Class X students of the institution passed the Boards in first division.
The school recorded an average of 85%, where 40% of the students scored above 90% (A1). Vaibhav Kumar topped the school with 99.4%, followed by Yash Khandelawal with 99%.
Founder, KIIT & KISS, Dr Achyuta Samanta congratulated the successful students. “The school has been posting excellent results consistently and this could be possible due to proper care of students and modern teaching methodology”.
