New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday began providing psychological counselling to the students set to appear for the 10th and 12th board exams this year. It will continue till March 30, when the exams will begin.
This is the 23rd year that CBSE has taken the initiative to provide free-of-cost pre-examination psychological counselling.
Counselling Facilities
- IVRS – The CBSE has made the facility of IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System), free of cost on the toll free number- 1800118004. IVRS, introduced by CBSE last year, enables the public to access information anytime, anywhere and even multiple times.
- Live Tele-Counselling – Live tele-counselling will be provided on the same toll-free number – 1800118004, by 95 principals and trained counsellors from within CBSE affiliated schools located in and outside India (22).
According to an official statement, it is a voluntary, free of cost service provided by the Board from 8 am to 10 pm daily. The participating principals/counsellors will be available in India and nine other countries such as Japan, USA, Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Nepal, Singapore and Sultanate of Oman.
Question-Answer Columns
CBSE experts will answer queries of students through weekly question-answer columns to be published by major national newspapers in the month of February.
