Bhubaneswar: The Centurion University here has signed MoUs with MarqueeSemi and SignatureIP to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Scalable Silicon Systems and an Innovation and Product Incubation Programme.
“This strategic collaboration aims to strengthen India’s semiconductor education ecosystem by providing students and researchers with opportunities to engage in VLSI design, SoC development, chiplet-based systems, and IP innovation. The partnership will serve as a comprehensive hub for research, training, skill development, incubation, and industry mentorship in scalable silicon system design, verification, and advanced semiconductor architectures,” the institute said in a release.
Vice Chancellor, Centurion University, Supriya Pattanayak also described it as a significant milestone in universities’ journey toward driving innovation-led and industry-integrated education. “This partnership with MarqueeSemi and SignatureIP will empower our students to become active contributors to India’s growing semiconductor ecosystem and foster the next generation of chip design engineers and innovators,” she said.
Vice President, Centurion University, D N Rao said that the CoE for Scalable Silicon Systems and the Innovation Lab will provide our students with real-world semiconductor exposure, hands-on training with industry-grade tools, and mentorship from domain experts in both silicon services and IP development.
