Lucknow: Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), which has campuses in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, has tied up with the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL), Uttar Pradesh, to foster interaction and engagements in academics and research, as well as institutional cooperation.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed and exchanged by UP’s Additional DGP, Technical Services Naveen Arora and Vice-Chancellor of Centurion University, Odisha Dr Supriya Pattanayak, in the presence of DGP Rajeev Krishna and Centurion University president Prof. Mukti Kanta Mishra.
As per the agreement, the CUTM and SFSL, UP will explore, extend, formalise and strengthen functional relationships and partnerships between universities and law enforcement, investigative, research, and technical institutions across the country. Both partners will share laboratory facilities and human resources, and leverage the scientific and academic expertise available at each institution.
“This collaboration will bridge the gap between academic research and real-world forensic applications, creating a robust platform for innovation and skill enhancement,” DGP Krishna said.
“By combining our skill-integrated education deliveries with the expertise of SFSL, we will empower students and researchers with relevant and appropriate capacities to contribute meaningfully to advancements in forensic science and technology,” CUTM president Mishra added.
