Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rainfall occurred at one or two places in Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Keonjhar and Gajapati districts of Odisha on Saturday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the regional meteorological centre here.

“The trough running from north-east Madhya Pradesh to north Gangetic West Bengal has become less marked,” the Met dept said.

Dense to very dense fog was reported at one or two places in Balasore and Kandhamal districts, while shallow to moderate fog was reported at one or two places in Cuttack, Puri, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Angul, Keonjhar and Malkangiri districts.

Forecast for the next five days:

Jan 23 (till 8.30 am)

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.

Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha’s coastal districts and Kandhamal.

Jan 23 (8.30 am) to Jan 24 (8.30 am)

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at a few places over north coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.

Yellow warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over north coastal Odisha, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Jan 24 (8.30 am) to Jan 25 (8.30 am)

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and Kandhamal.

Jan 25 (8.30 am) to Jan 26 (8.30 am)

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and Puri districts.

Jan 26 (8.30 am) to Jan 27 (8.30 am)

Dry weather very likely to prevail over Odisha.

There will be no large change in minimum temperature during the next four-five days over Odisha.
