Berhampur: Chief Justice S Muralidhar of Orissa High Court on Saturday inaugurated hands-on training programme module on e-Filing, e-Payment of court fees and other e-Services for the advocates of Ganjam District Bar Association at the office of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Southern Division, here.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice emphasised on the objectives behind launching these e-services and called upon the advocates to use the new technology to enhance the efficiency of the state’s judicial system. The module was inaugurated at Orissa High Court earlier.
The master trainers including Registrar, Dhenkanal Chinmaya Mishra and Bhanjanagar Sub-Judge Ved Prakash trained the advocates on the new concept.
As part of the e-courts project, the government has set up Judicial Service Centres at computerised subordinate courts. These centres have single window facility for filing petitions by litigants/lawyers and obtaining information on ongoing cases and copies of orders and judgments.
District Judge Ganjam Sashikant Mishra, president of Ganjam Bar Association Janardan Subudhi and Judge of Odisha High Court Justice BR Sarangi also spoke on the occasion.
