New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has vowed a decisive and targeted response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, delivering his first public remarks on the incident on Thursday. Shah, speaking firmly, declared that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India will respond to every act of terrorism with precision and strength.

Issuing a stern warning to terror groups, Shah said, “If anyone thinks that a cowardly attack is their victory, they must remember this is Narendra Modi’s India — and revenge will be taken, one by one.”

Firm Commitment to Eradicate Terrorism

Reiterating the government’s unwavering commitment, Shah added, “It is our resolve to uproot terrorism from every inch of this country, and it will be accomplished.”

He further emphasized that India’s battle against terrorism is backed by global solidarity. “Not only 140 crore Indians but the whole world is standing with India in this fight. All the countries of the world have come together and are standing with the people of India in this fight against terrorism,” Shah noted.

Justice Will Be Served

Amit Shah assured the nation that the perpetrators will face due punishment. “I want to reiterate the resolve that until terrorism is eradicated, our fight will continue and those who have committed it will certainly be given appropriate punishment,” he said.

Immediate Response After the Attack

Following the brutal terror attack on tourists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, Shah had rushed to Srinagar on April 23. He met with the grieving families, offered condolences, and laid wreaths on the victims’ bodies. Shah had firmly assured the nation that “the culprits of this dastardly terror attack will not be spared.”
