Bhubaneswar: Churchill Brothers FC won the inaugural match of the Hero Super Cup against Delhi Dynamos, ending their six-match unbeaten run after scoring in the penalty shoot-out at Kalinga Stadium on Thursday. The final score stood at 2-1 in favour of Churchill Brothers FC.
The score at the end of the match remained 1-1 as Kalu Uche scored the first goal for Delhi Dynamos in the sixth minute. The equaliser was scored by Wiilis Deon Plaza in the 35 minute, and also scored the winner.
In the second match between North East United FC and Gokulam Kerala FC, Henry Kisekikka scored a brace to power Kerala to victory. Goalkeeper Nikhil Barnard was adjudged player of the match.
