Bhubaneswar: Students of Sai International School had a narrow escape when the bus in which they were travelling rammed a roadside electric pole near Jagannath Temple at Baramunda here on Monday.
According to reports, the overhead power lines fell on the vehicle under the impact of the crash. Electrical cabling, fortunately, averted a major mishap and prevented the bus from being electrocuted.
Locals said the bus driver lost control over the vehicle as he was feeling tired and sleepy.
Getting information regarding the accident, police reached the spot and started investigation.
