CM Launches Online Registration Application For Senior Citizens
Bhubaneswar: In a major step towards ensuring the safety of the
elderly people, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday launched an
online registration application for senior citizens in a function
organised at Rabindra Mandap here to mark the completion of 10 years of
the Commissionerate Police.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister advised the police
personnel to create confidence among the senior citizens and prevent
crimes against them.
The CM also praised the efforts made by Commissionerate Police for
efficiently tackling various crimes and criminals in the past ten
years.
A total of 11, 335 senior citizens are residing under the
Commissionerate Police area. The new application will enable the
elderly people in the twin cities to enable them to register their
grievances, an official informed.
Among others, Director General of Police Rajendra Prasad Sharma,
Police Commissioner YB Khurania and other senior police officers were
present on the occasion.
