Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Tuesday announced a Rs 10 hike in the daily minimum wages of workers in Odisha.
The CM said the hike will benefit lakhs of workers belonging to unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled and highly skilled categories.
According to proposal approved by the CM, the minimum daily wage for unskilled workers has been increased from Rs 452 to Rs 462, and it has been hiked from Rs 502 to Rs 512 for semi-skilled workers. Skilled workers will get Rs 562 instead of Rs 552 and while the minimum wage for highly-skilled labourers has been raised from Rs 602 to Rs 612.
