CM return home to a rousing welcome
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik returned home to a rousing welcoming on Sunday after being adjudged the Best Administrator in the country at the Outlook Speakout Awards in New Delhi.
Thousands of party workers and leaders from across the state gathered outside Biju Patnaik Internation Airport to greet the chief minister.
The regional party had made elaborate arrangements to welcome Naveen. Hoardings and banners were put up at various places between the airport and Naveen Nivas. However, the celebration was toned down due to the Utkal Express derailment in Muzaffarnagar.
Speaking to media, the chief minister said, “I would like to thank all the people who had come in such large number to the airport to greet me. I would like to express my deep gratitude again to Outlook for having awarded me the Best Administrator in the country award.”
On speculations about early polls and BJD-BJP deal at Centre, he said, “BJD is always prepared for the elections and we will keep equal distance from both BJP and Congress.”
