Special consideration will be made for admission to undergraduate courses for students who have lost both or either of their parents to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These unfortunate students will get admission in government colleges if they have obtained the minimum passing marks set by senior secondary school boards.

This laudable admission policy was announced by the Rajasthan government’s College Education department.

Women widowed by the pandemic who want to pursue college studies will also be admitted on minimum passing marks.

These admissions will be provided on additional seats, without disturbing existing quotas or intake capacity of colleges.

According to the new policy, applicants from the transgender community and children or widows of martyrs will also be admitted to colleges on minimum marks.

Additional seats will also be made available for students in tribal sub-plan areas in the state.

Apart from the vulnerable groups, some special provisions have been made for families displaced from Pakistan, emigrants from Kashmir and the specially-abled.
