Colleges Reopen For Plus-3 First-Year Students In Odisha Amid Strict COVID Protocols
Bhubaneswar: Offline classes resumed for plus-3 first-year students in degree colleges across Odisha on Monday. The classes were suspended due to the COVID-19 situation in the state.
The UG students’ classroom teaching is being held amid strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols. First-year PG students’ offline classes are slated to commence on November 15.
“Classroom teaching of First Year U.G. and First Year P.G. Students (Freshly admitted) for the session 2021-22 will start from 01.11.2021 and 15.11.2021, respectively in physical mode by following appropriate Covid-19 prevention protocols,” read the letter.
Hostel facilities will also be available for those students who have been admitted to hostels. All possible COVID-19 prevention protocols shall be followed in hostels, added the letter.
Protocols:
- Face Mask/ Face Cover will be mandatory.
- Frequent Hand Wash/Hand Sanitisation must be ensured.
- Social distancing to be followed in classrooms, libraries, laboratories, etc.
- Spitting on campus will be strictly prohibited.
- Respiratory etiquettes shall be strictly followed
- Self-monitoring of health and reporting of illness should be encouraged.
- There must be an isolation room ready for any emergency.
