Mumbai: Comedian Bharti Singh, who has been sent to judicial custody for consuming drugs, became the butt of jokes on social media after one of her old tweets on drugs resurfaced.

In the viral tweet, Bharti had urged fans to stay away from drugs as it is harmful for health.

“Please stop taking drugs.. it is harmful to your health,” Bharti had tweeted in 2015.

But now that Bharti and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa have been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for possessing and consuming drugs, netizens had a field day in trolling the popular comedian.

One user wrote, “5 years ago #BhartiSingh used to give gyaan on drugs“.

Another user wrote, “This tweet proves that #BhartiSingh is truly a comedian. Mast joke mara rey…..”

A third one wrote, “Now she will take that gyaan from NCB.”

Check how the other’s reacted:

The NCB conducted a raid at Bharti’s Mumbai residence on Saturday and recovered 86.5 gms of ganja.

On Sunday, the celebrity couple was produced before the special NDPS court, which sent them to 14-day judicial custody.
