Cop In Odisha’s Boudh Held For Taking Bribe

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Friday apprehended ASI Madan Mohan Pradhan of Janhapanka Police outpost in Odisha’s Boudh district while allegedly accepting Rs 15,000 bribe.

According to official sources, he had demanded the amount to include stringent sections in a case that he was investigating.

A case has been registered by Berhampur Vigilance under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act 2018 and searches are on at two locations from disproportionate assets angle.
