Balangir: A couple, who had returned to Odisha’s Titlagarh from Canada on March 11, was admitted to Bhim Bhoi Medical College and Hospital here on Friday, suspecting that they could be contracted the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to media reports, the couple works in Canada and had travelled to Odisha to attend the death rituals of their uncle. They were later found to be suffering from fever and visited Titlagarh sub-divisional hospital for medical examination on Friday.
Their medication examination was conducted in presence of Sub Collector Sudhakar Nayak and they were shifted to Bhim Bhoi Medical College and Hospital later in the day.
As of March 12, Canada had reported 140 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and it included Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the wife of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
