Coronavirus Scare: Tourist From Czech Republic Denied Hotel Room In Odisha Capital
Bhubaneswar: A tourist from Czech Republic, who had been visiting tourist places in Odisha since January 14, had to put up in the Indira Gandhi Park here for two days after being denied hotel room in the Odisha capital in view of the coronavirus scare.
The tourist, Petr, was rescued by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) authorities from the park on Thursday.
BMC Commissioner, Prem Chandra Choudhury directed the BMC officials to arrange for his stay and food at BMC Yatri Niwas on government costs.
Petr will leave for Kolkata on Thursday night. He will be flying to Czech Republic on March 25
In another instance, a foreign national from Europe shifted from a hotel in IRC Village to Yatri Niwas earlier in the day. He has been staying in Bhubaneswar since January.
