Keonjhar: Unidentified miscreants allegedly hacked a couple to death with a sword at Rangamatia village under Nayakot police limits in Keonjhar district late on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Bhamia Pradhan (60) and his wife Gangi Pradhan (55).
According to reports, five miscreants barged into the house and attacked the couple with a sword, killing them on the spot. Their daughter Sumitra Pradhan (25) and son Mangal Singh Pradhan (35) were grievously injured after being shot with arrows and admitted to the district headquarters hospital in a critical condition.
Old enmity is being suspected to be the reason behind the brutal attack, a police officer informed.
