Balasore: The district administration has shifted Remuna vegetable market here on Wednesday to ensure proper implementation of social distancing guidelines. The market has been shifted to Krushak Bazaar in front of Remuna College to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
The Remuna market being a crowded place, people were not obeying the norms even during this pandemic. So the administration has decided to relocate the market.
Such a decision by the administration was initially opposed by some traders and locals. Following which the district administration deployed police and relocated the market.
Meanwhile, the vegetable vendors were asked to maintain social distance.
