COVID-19 Lockdown: Odisha CM Urges Odia Societies To Help Stranded Fellowmen

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday requested Odia societies in neighbouring states to help their fellowmen stranded there amid the complete lockdown to counter the coronavirus outbreak.

In a video message, the CM asked these societies to provide medicines and food to stranded Odias who are not able to return to Odisha.

He assured the societies that the state government will bear the cost of the medicines and food provided by them from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

Apart from Odia societies, the Chief Minister has also made a similar request to his counterparts in other states.
