COVID-19: Odisha Loses One More Journalist In Second Wave
Phulbani: Asutosh Behera (45) became the latest COVID-19 victim from the Odisha media fraternity to succumb to the virus in Phulbani in Kandhamal district.
Behera was a correspondent for the Odia vernacular daily ‘Sarbasadharan’,.
He was admitted to the Phulbani COVID Hospital on May 20. However, Behera’s condition became critical and he passed away on Sunday evening.
Notably, the deceased was among the first to get vaccinated during the drive for journalists.
The journalists of Kandhamal district paid condolence on his demise.
So far, 29 journalists from Odisha have died during the second wave of COVID-19.
